Chapter 26 — Daily Practices and Tools
Daily practice is not always training. Sometimes it is maintenance: joint prep, walking, breath, short stance holds, visualization, journaling one line. The tool list should be small enough to remember when depleted.
A starter toolkit:
- Three-minute breath: inhale four, exhale six, no forcing.
- Two-minute zanshin: after any task, pause, eyes soft, notice shoulders.
- One-line journal: best correction received, best correction given.
- Micro-kihon: ten repetitions of a basic with one explicit constraint.
Tools fail when they become performance for an imaginary audience. Do them privately. Let them be boring.
